The Community Action Commission’s Success Academy at 1514 Derry Street in Harrisburg offers its students instructor directed, online Adult Basic Education including English as a Second Language, keyboarding and computer basics, Microsoft Office Suite tutorials, remedial math, reading, language arts, and writing.

Each student pursues an individualized career goal plan while Academy staff assist with job-related soft skills training, placement in a job, or assistance in advancing in a job with the eventual goal for each student of having a stable, well paying, benefits-included job that can provide self-sufficiency for his/her family.

The Success Academy also offers a wide range of related products to businesses, government and non-profit organizations in Dauphin, Perry and Cumberland Counties that include online Adult Basic Education, English as a Second Language, Professional Development and on-site employee soft skills training, onsite job coaching, and supervisor training for those who manage the new sector workforce.
